Topic #20: Games/Gaming - Geo :?

Hey :)

Ciara is right, everyone plays games of some sort. Whether it be a video game like COD Black Ops or a skilful game to see how many cod fish you can catch with a friend (not as the bait, as company, heheh) Or a game of strength like a Tug 'O' War, like at the barbecue today we had Tug 'O' War games, we also had this circus thing and there were unicycles and stilts and diablos amongst other funny things that are a great way of humiliating your lack of balance etc. in front of people :)

I guess there's not loaddsss to write about this topic but yeah, games are fun and they must have gone back for thousands of years otherwise the Olympics and pretty much all competitive sports and sports events wouldn't exist? Also, without games we would all be bored. A lot of our hobbies today wouldn't be around, either.

Topic #19: Teachers - Georgia :?

Hey :)

I think this is a good topic since we're close to the end of the year and all so we realise which teachers actually taught you something good in the year, haha.

So Mr Straw is leaving, that's sad. I had him in year 7 for French, he was awesome. I learnt so much and I didn't see it as a tedious kind of lesson, because we were always doing something new. He was pretty strict at the start of the year but he certainly warmed up after a while.

I like quite a few of my teachers, more than I dislike, at least.

Here's a few of my teachers:

Science: Dr. Doy - Meh, she can't control the class, is pretty boring, and I haven't really learnt a considerable amount from her this year.

English: Mr Schofield was the best English teacher, but now we have Mrs Nelder, who is lacking the same flair that Schoffers had. She's kind of mediocre and plain. I don't hate her, I just much preferred Shofield.

Geography: Miss Prout - Bless! She's very weird but I've had her for 2 years running and I've learnt so much and I absolutely love Geography partly because of her :)

Maths: Mr Manderson - He's a really really good maths teacher, but I'm just not really that good at maths, I like Mando though, despite his dislike of my rolled-up sleeves. Heheheh.

Art: Mr Wall - Bit of a goon, but he loves me, hahah! He hated me in year 8 until he realised that I was good at art. He once sent me out of the class because I 'talked across tables'... I said 'yes' to something Angus said, and was removed from the room. Sick. I don't mind him now though, I guess. I like art too so even if I didn't like him at all, it wouldn't really make a difference.

So yeah, teachers are good and bad etc. But we always need them, so I try not to 'hate' teachers too much, since they are gonna get us jobs etc. Unless, they're just stupid and don't know how to teach...why are they teachers??

Topic #18: Change - Georgia :?

Hey!

Yeah, this weeks topic is CHANGE.
Shannon told Ciara and I today that that's the topic for the week, but she can't post because she doesn't have her laptop, so I guess she's off the hook temporarily?

So change, actually a really good topic if you ask me, I've been thinking about it all day, but I forgot to post and now I'm on my iPod, hahah.

Change. It's a simple word, we use it day to day, 6 letters.

It describes our lives, our existence. From the second we are born, we experience change. We grow, we learn to walk, talk, read and so on.

Out lives are constantly changing, which in itself is an oxymoron - constant change.

If our lives never changed we wouldn't exist, and even if we did, we would be vegetables.

At the moment we are all changing, we're learning new things, meeting new people etc.

I love and loathe change, I love it because it is basically our lives. I loathe it for the same reason in a way, it's our whole lives, it's daunting. Seriously.

Change makes an impact on our lives, whether it be something minor like a haircut or getting a new teacher for a certain subject. Comparatively, it can be a huge impact, for example moving to a different country or losing a friend or family member.

Every second our lives change, every moment we grow older and experience everything in a totally different light.

This is a pretty hard topic for me to understand because it's so huge, it's good though :) it's interesting.

People change, they talk to different people, make different friends, fall in and out of love, change their homes, jobs. It's all change. It's growing up, knowing themselves, knowing what right, from experience in the past etc.

I'll add to this tomorrow because I'm on my iPod and it's bot letting me add photos I want to post.

Topic #16: y = 4x + 3 - Georgia :?

Hey guys, I'm actually posting on time for once, hahaha.
I'm gonna try my hardest to post on time from now on :)

So here goes:

I:
a) Will you be coming to the ROCKSHOW? Possibly
b) Did you cheat on the maths exam? Nope.
c) Do you swear to put maximum effort into this blog? Sure :)

II: Complete the Sentences:

a) This Blog is 'ite

b) I shot my monster under my bed today.

c) I can hear the scream of the Emelia Wales

d) Beyond here lies your mother.

e) We have assumed the Joe will be really good on the blog, which is true :)

f) We are the kebab sticks of the kebab shop of Hyson Green kebab land

g) We must face the knowledge that the kebab shopkeeper is not the leader of the world .

h) Why are we here? Because we have too much spare time and like to use keyboards because it makes the tips of our fingers feel respected.

i) All that we can do is just DANCE LIKE NO ONES WATCHING.

j) it's been a long time since I jumped off a tall building...

k) you sometimes drive me into brick walls and steam engine trains, it's really fun.

l) for my mother and my brother it's chico time.

Scenario:
Ok, you and one other (a blogger of your choice! ) get pulled off the street outside school by a crazy man and get thrown into the back of a van. when you reach your final location you are in a desolate and derelict place, where nobody can reach you. Just you and the other person in a room. No windows

Well I would probably be with Ciara since she is smart and her witty comments would keep me sane while I was in the room with no windows. I would possibly just walk out of the door in the desolate area and catch the magic bus home, there would be a magic bus, yes. Even though no one can reach us, there would be a bus.

Equation:

I don't like maths, so if the question is find X I will say:

Because it's correct, right?

I AM SORRY! HERE'S THE LAST TOPICS I MISSED IN ONE POST - GEORGIA :?

Just gonna say I am sorry I haven't posted in ages! I just have had a lot on and I forgot and arrggh I just didn't do it.

Okay:

Topic #13: Mr Miller Times

Yeah, Benj.
I didn't really hate Miller, but I didn't like him either.
I can't really write much on this because I don't know that much about him, he only ever taught me in music last year which I can't really remember because it wasn't fun or anything.

Topic #14: Life & Death

Good topic, but pretty depressing all the same.
I'm not scared about my own death really, I never have been, I've mainly been scared of people around me who die or how people will react when I die. I am completely clueless about what happens after life, I don't know if there's such thing as reincarnation, or heaven, hell and purgatory etc. Or whether we just end. Stop existing. It's weird, I struggle to put it into words kind of because it is really complex if you go into it deep, which I avoid usually when I have critics etc. - They think I'm a weirdo ;)

Geo.x - Once again, sorry for my lack of posting!

Topic #10:Your biggest fear - Georgia :?

Okay, so this isn't so much a topic as it is a question, but I thought maybe it would be okay.

So, your biggest fears, it's broad, I know but oh well.
Everyone has fears, no matter how much they may try to hide it or act as though they don't, they do.
Some people have tiny fears about simple things, an example could be spiders, nothing massively bad, but it will twinge in their heads sometimes and then if they are thinking about how much they are scared of spiders, any itch or tickle on their neck or leg etc. might make them fear that there's a spider on their leg. - Just as an example ;)

I think maybe one of my biggest fears will be similar to nearly everyone my age, and it's growing up and having a job etc. It's a fear to me because I never know what's around the corner, anything could happen in the future, and it is a big fear for me.

Another fear I have quite often isn't as big but it annoys me. I hate wasps, in the summer. I'm not that bothered when I can see them and I'm not too close to them, but it's mainly the sound that they make and how angry they are. I hate it!

I don't like the fear I get when I'm on the start line in a race that much, either. It's fine when I'm in races where there isn't much pressure, but if there is, I feel like I have to make it the best start I've ever done. Which makes me scared :L

I do actually have loads of fears, I'm scared of getting mugged, I'm scared of getting in major trouble with teachers, friends, parents etc. I am scared of  breaking limbs, getting really sick, going mental, terrorism, murder, a lot more :L

So I have a lot of fears, not many of them actually have any effect on my life at the moment, but they're just things I would rather not have to happen ;) Which is generally what I see a fear as.

Yeah, that's about it :)

Topic #9 : School - Georgia :?

School is fun, except for the lessons and stuff like that.

But it means you get friends, a life, and education, a future. Pretty much it makes you who you are, so it's all goooood :L
Like if you're a chav and don't do anything in school you end up as an unemployed bum who has no qualifications and stuff, so it's more of a waste of a life than anything.
Then you get people who actually work and have a future. And they make money and have a family and a social life, so it's not a waste :)

Etc.

G.x - I'M REALLY BUSY SO DONT HATE ON THE SHORT BLOGGAGE.

Topic 8#: Films - Georgia :?

Hey,

So I guess if I could I would write a lot on this, but I really don't watch many films so It's not as easy. I generally like most kind of films, comedy, romance, action that stuff but i'm not so much into horror films. I like the HArry Potter films and I like Inception, the plot is good and it's really gripping etc.
I'm really stumped on stuff to write now :/

Topic #6: The Future - Georgia :?

Hey :)

This week I think is a good topic, but I struggle to put what I think about the future into words, because my  view of the future is constantly changing.
I find it weird to think that even when you say something as simple as 'I'll do that homework in the morning' you're talking about the future. But when you say something like 'I want to be a dentist when I'm older', you're also talking about 'The future'.
I sometimes look forward to stuff that will happen in the future, like going to uni, getting a job, normal person stuff like that.

However, there are other times when the future scares me so much, like having  to face the detention you'll get for not doing the homework you said to yourself would do in the morning, or choosing GCSE options, or going to that Uni or job interview you were looking forward to getting when you were 13.

Hah, I'm babbling, this is what goes through my head, which shows how hard it is to put into words because it's really jabbery. :)

Anyway back to the subject, I find the way my view changes so much on what will happen in the future is down to what it is, and what the outcome is going to be like. Because no one ever looks forward to the detentions for not doing overdue homework or the nerves that come along with interviews or language speaking tests that you only wrote half of the night before ;)
But then people will always look forward to growing up, being independent, getting a great job, or just partying or whatever.

I think my overall perception of the future is that it is a room filled with doors and each door has oppurtunity, failure, love, heartbreak and all the outcomes of desicions you make in life behind them.

You just have to choose the right doors.

Hahahaha that was so cliché I know.

I think this is possibly THE longest post I've done so far :)
It was a good topic so it was relatively easy to write about.

Topic #5: Youtube - Georgia :?

Hey :)
So I think this week is a really good topic, because everyone uses youtube!
I usually use youtube for stuff like: vlogs, music videos, music covers, fails, viral stuff, pretty much everything video :) I use youtube a LOT.

Here are a few of my favorite youtubers:

ClaraCMusic

Orla Gartland

communitychannel

Supermac18

There are a bunch more, but the speed that my computer is doing this is preventing me from getting all of them down.

I love youtube! <3 I will write more and stuff in a bit, it's just that my life is so busy right now :/ :)

Topic #4: Countries/Culture - Georgia :?

Hey

This will be short tonight because I have 101 things to do, but I'll update it in a day or two.

Okay, so countries and culture, a very broad topic, so kinda hard to post about.
Anyway, I find culture fascinating, the way that when you go abroad, even just to somewhere like France or Holland, the way they live day to day is so much different, it seems even stranger in places like this because they aren't even that far away from us, so in the space of maybe and hour in a plane, you go into a totally changed lifestyle system. So going somewhere in another continent, would probably be even more of a contrast to our miserable, grey weathered days in Britain.

I like the way people all over the world speak different languages, and when I'm talking to someone who's first language is English, I always ask myself whether they're thinking in English or their language, and it puzzles me constantly. Even when I'm talking to someone who does speak English as their primary language, I wonder if the way they say words in their head is different to mine but I just hear them the way I imagine them. I know this is really random, but hey.

That is all I can do at the moment, I will update it though.

Topic #3: Fakeness - Georgia :?

Hey :)Oh my gosh, week 3 already?

So I was thinking pretty hard about what this weeks topic should be, and I realised that all the time these days, you see people that are just so blatantly fake. Fake hair, nails, bodies, skin, personality, the lot.
I guarantee you every day I see at least one girl who is meant to be white, but they're orange.
Why?
Is it insecurity? Or trend following? I don't understand it, why would you want to look like a mango with fluorescent pink talons as nails, and white - I mean 'Platinum blonde' hair?
I think that cake on so much makeup are almost just hiding themselves away because they're insecure, but then I guess I really don't know, because I don't do it, I don't have a reason to.

But it isn't just people's appearances that come across as fake, you get the people that are 'best mates' with everyone, but then bitch about them to everyone else, who are also their 'best mates'

I think people should really just be happy with what they've got, because 9 out of 10 times the people who are fake are so much nicer to be around without all the makeup, fake tan, bleached hair and the rest of the fakeness, they just don't want to look different to anyone else. But that really defeats why we all look different, which we are meant to be.
We're not supposed to be orange, and our hair shouldn't belong to some other person that is stuck in with glue. We're meant to look the way we look without all the trimmings, it makes us interesting, and not walking barbie dolls.

Anyway, enough of my rant about fakeness, it's your turns now :)
I know this probably isn't a very good subject but hey, It's my week to choose so that is what I have chosen.

Topic #2: Music - Georgia :?

Hey :)
This is just really short but I'm fixing it and making it longer tomorrow!

Music plays a big part in my life, and it sounds cheesy and typical but music always reminds me of stuff that has happened in the past etc.
I sometimes hear songs that bring back memories good and bad,  but even when they're bad, I still like the particular song or artist, just not the memory.

I generally don't listen to the music that's 'in' really, pretty much no one in this blog thing does ;)
I prefer stuff that is well, good, because it's actually real music that isn't from people that don't sing and have auto tune as their voice instead - which irritates me greatly. :)
Mostly I listen to stuff like this:
  • Jamie T
  • You Me At Six
  • Lenka
  • Amy Winehouse
  • Colbie Caillat
  • Emma's Imagination
  • Never Shout Never
  • Regina Spektor
  • Plain White T's
  • Mindy Gledhill
  • Far East Movement
  • Laura Marling
  • Remi Nicole
  • All Time Low
  • Jack Johnson
  • Kids In Glass Houses
  • Lady Gaga
  • Frankmusik
  • Kate Nash
  • Arctic Monkeys
  • Paloma Faith
  • Marina And The Diamonds
  • Lily Allen
  • Katy Perry
  • The Fratellis
  • Eliza Doolittle
  • Friendly Fires
  • Jason Mraz
  • I Blame Coco
  • The Maccabees
  • The Wombats
  • Biffy Clyro
  • Noah And The Whale
 - And more but my mind is blank right now :)

I think that without music, I would struggle to relate how I felt to anything else, but when you hear a song and you can relate to how you feel, it makes you feel like the person singing the song is aiming it right at you.

I find it so annoying when you mention a band or artist and then someone acts like they're the biggest fans but when you start talking about a song of theirs that isn't in the UK top 40 or whatever, they know nothing about it. Maybe that's just me?

Anyway, I can't get much more down for now, but it might become longer in the future.

Topic #1: Exams - Georgia :?

Okay, so a reasonably depressing topic, however it is relevant, since we had exams this week.

I go on a school ski trip to Austria for a week - which was amazing - Only to come hurtling back to the harsh reality of school, worse still, school exams.
I enter the exam halls, fatigued and without a minute of revision - not that anyone needed to revise because the exams were ridiculously easy and pointless.
Anyway, I walk into the exam hall, and then BAM! a booming yell from the most irritating teacher (cheers Mr. Bennet) in our school which practically shatters my eardrum tells everyone to 'SHUT UP! THESE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT EXAMS YOU'LL EVER TAKE!' - No sir, they're not.

So yeah, my exams went okay other than the bellowing voice of Mr. Bennet every morning.
But really, I don't think exams are worth it, because so many people feel overly-pressured about them, which can make them do badly, but then in class they're the smartest students.

That's about all I can think to put right now,  I know it wasn't particularly good, but oh well ;)
G.x

By the way, there is something very wrong with my font so if you want you can change it so it matches the rest, because my computer thinks it's fun to crash every time i click a font :/
