Hey :)
I think this is a good topic since we're close to the end of the year and all so we realise which teachers actually taught you something good in the year, haha.
So Mr Straw is leaving, that's sad. I had him in year 7 for French, he was awesome. I learnt so much and I didn't see it as a tedious kind of lesson, because we were always doing something new. He was pretty strict at the start of the year but he certainly warmed up after a while.
I like quite a few of my teachers, more than I dislike, at least.
Here's a few of my teachers:
Science: Dr. Doy - Meh, she can't control the class, is pretty boring, and I haven't really learnt a considerable amount from her this year.
English: Mr Schofield was the best English teacher, but now we have Mrs Nelder, who is lacking the same flair that Schoffers had. She's kind of mediocre and plain. I don't hate her, I just much preferred Shofield.
Geography: Miss Prout - Bless! She's very weird but I've had her for 2 years running and I've learnt so much and I absolutely love Geography partly because of her :)
Maths: Mr Manderson - He's a really really good maths teacher, but I'm just not really that good at maths, I like Mando though, despite his dislike of my rolled-up sleeves. Heheheh.
Art: Mr Wall - Bit of a goon, but he loves me, hahah! He hated me in year 8 until he realised that I was good at art. He once sent me out of the class because I 'talked across tables'... I said 'yes' to something Angus said, and was removed from the room. Sick. I don't mind him now though, I guess. I like art too so even if I didn't like him at all, it wouldn't really make a difference.
So yeah, teachers are good and bad etc. But we always need them, so I try not to 'hate' teachers too much, since they are gonna get us jobs etc. Unless, they're just stupid and don't know how to teach...why are they teachers??
