Topic #2: Music - Lilly :D

Music. My life is basically music... and i know loads of people say stuff like that and it's really not true and it's just like -.- why lie? But i am being deadly serious :L If it wasn't for music i would be a completely different person. Is it just me, or when you think about one tiny decision you made in your life, and how much it has affected your life now, just completely blows your mind?! For me, i think back to that day in year 4 when we had an assembly where this band came in and showed us how cool music is and basically bigging up Yamaha Music School and they gave us a free taster lesson of guitar and a letter about when to go etc. If i hadn't gone to that free taster session... then who knows what I'd be like now :/ anyways... getting slightly off subject now ;)
To me there are 3 types of music;
Practical: This is basically playing music, you know with instruments, jamming, writing songs and just generally being a cool person ;D
I do this a lot :') I play keyboard, saxophone, ukulele, guitar and bass. I'm not gonna go on about this a lot because there is too much to say... But i have the inter house piano competition in like 2 weeks :| How the hell am i supposed to learn a decent piano piece in 2 weeks?!?! :'( Fellow blogger Hugh is also competing in this :/ damn. Not that he's ever had lessons or anything but knowing that he's in it doesn't make me feel any better :L
Theory: This is like composing and the boring side of music ;) I'm not gonna say much about this... not my favourite thing in the world :/
Listening: Everybody does this on a day to day basis... Well I know I do ;) Everybody has different tastes of music and i must admit that each of the seven bloggers have quite similar tastes in music but each is slightly swayed more to a certain genre which i think is pretty cool ;)

Music can be incredibly emotive and expressive if you think about it really :/ each and every song written in the history of the world will make you feel slightly differently. Isn't that just so amazing? I love how music is just so, different to everything else, and yet it is something that can unite millions of people all around the world for loads of different reasons. Music is just too cool <3

Topic #2: Music - Jack :]

MUSIC :D
I consider myself fairly musical, I mean, I like music?
Today we got our music test results back, I said if I got over 100 I'd do it for GCSE, and I got 118*
Over the last three years I've had 2 Permanent music teachers and 2 temporary ones:
Mr Ben Miller :D
Miss Adcock (now known as Mrs Natalie Squires) < Legendary form tutor as well :D
Mrs Shooter (Formerly Miss Cray)
and Miss Buzcok, who is nice to me :P

I play 2 Instruments (badly)
Guitar and Piano
BUT I know I'm yours on Ukulele (forgot it now but I learnt it within 2 attempts ;) :D )
Not as long as Hugh's
That's what she said^
That's all for now :D
Jack :]

*should be 121 I think but they marked the last question incorrectly -.-

Topic #1: Exams - Georgia :?

Okay, so a reasonably depressing topic, however it is relevant, since we had exams this week.

I go on a school ski trip to Austria for a week - which was amazing - Only to come hurtling back to the harsh reality of school, worse still, school exams.
I enter the exam halls, fatigued and without a minute of revision - not that anyone needed to revise because the exams were ridiculously easy and pointless.
Anyway, I walk into the exam hall, and then BAM! a booming yell from the most irritating teacher (cheers Mr. Bennet) in our school which practically shatters my eardrum tells everyone to 'SHUT UP! THESE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT EXAMS YOU'LL EVER TAKE!' - No sir, they're not.

So yeah, my exams went okay other than the bellowing voice of Mr. Bennet every morning.
But really, I don't think exams are worth it, because so many people feel overly-pressured about them, which can make them do badly, but then in class they're the smartest students.

That's about all I can think to put right now,  I know it wasn't particularly good, but oh well ;)
G.x

By the way, there is something very wrong with my font so if you want you can change it so it matches the rest, because my computer thinks it's fun to crash every time i click a font :/

Topic #1: Exams - Shannon ;)

'ELLO :)
Okay, so every post on this topic is going to be depressing (nice one jack), because lets face it, EVERYBODY hates exams
I am one of the people in that everybody because i seriously do not test well :(
When we have exams, all i want is to be in class, but when we're in class, i wish we had exams.
boohoo :'(

Anyway, like Ciara said (because Ciara's always right-.-) these exams aren't even that importanttttttt, i swear the results will get us nowhere in life. i'll worry when i get to my gcse's thanks.

So i think im succeeding in making thiTHE most depressing post ever to be written, and im going to try and make the topic of exams.. happy? :D

the coughing game
well, this one's always fun for exams ;D
yanoe, where everybody just starts coughing even though their throat is perfectly clear but its funny to piss the teachers off because they are totally oblivious to it and probably think there is a gas leak or something.
well, thats how it used to be.
but now they know :(

Also, me and the ronan did indeed have the best seats in the house for exams because everyone knows, back corners are always a win :)

So yeah, exams are over now so im happyyyy :D
just not looking forward to getting my results..

I don't want this to be any longer so i'm going to shutup. until next week :D

Shannon ;) xx

Topic #1: Exams - Lilly :D

Exams... pretty depressing tbh :/ i find it quite amusing how different people react to them.
Some people say how bad they are going to do, don't do anything about it, cram the night before if they're a bit worried and talk about how badly they are going to fail whilst sir is shouting at them to 'BE QUIET. YOU ARE IN EXAM CONDITIONS NOW' as you walk into the gym.
Some people actually revise, you know, the organised people who are going to get good GCSE's, by doing what the teachers recommends, revision timetable, timed revision slots, timed breaks etc. and everybody thinks 'who the hell would do that?!'
Some people revise also, but they won't admit it, because they wouldn't wanna look like 'nerds' which i find very stupid. because they do. no matter how much they try to play it cool :') not that i have anything against 'nerds' i just find nerds in denial quite funny :')
I personally believe i am inbetween these 3 categories... I make a revision timetable (usually against my will...) never stick to it, occassionally do like 10 mins of revision when i get pestered about it, cram a bit the night before if i know i'm definetly screwed ;D and talk about how badly i am going to do whilst sir is shouting 'BE QUIET. YOU ARE IN EXAM CONDITIONS NOW' as I walk into the gym.:'D good times...
Our exams are now over, had 9 exams crammed into the space of 3 days :/ we are also crammed into the gym which is a bit small :/ tables like 3/4 of a meter away from each other max. Lot's of cramming involved ;D
These exams were to help us be 'setted' for our GCSE classes next year. great. havn't even chosen our options yet... talking of options ;) There aren't that many options involved in our options.... like 4 max? out of the like 12 subjects :/ and they are limited choices as well :/ bad times...
And also don't you love how every exam you take always somehow seems to be 'the most important exams you take in your life so far? i'm still waiting for they day when i'm sat in the exam hall and the teacher says 'these exams aren't that important tbh, you should probably try to do your best because you know, thats what you should do but it's no biggie if you don't, it's cool don't worry about it, we all have our lazy days....'
That would be a pretty cool day ;D

Topic #1: Exams - Ciara o_O

My first blog post. I thought we were starting this thingymabob next week but apparently not so apologies I'm not going to be able to do another spiritually cleansing essay like the post below because this is kinda last minute.
Firstly, I would like to point out that it was my amazing idea to do exams as the theme as we had exams this week.
We've had exams this week. Our school takes the piss about exams. Seriously. Whatever you say these exams are not important -.-
They base sets on classwork mainly anyhow and I don't even understand why everyone gets dead stressed about them because the tests themselves are SO easy! Some of them were mock GCSEs, papers from previous years. All I'm saying is if our GCSEs are that easy we'll be laughing.
The worst thing about exams is that Mr Bennett seems to take it upon himself to crawl out of his office and shout at everyone. He's the world's most annoying teacher. Unfortunately he teaches Resistant Materials which is the DT I want to take. Fingers crossed I don't get him.

On that note I'll tell you about my options because apparently these tests will have a massive impact on what we want to *insert doubting glance here*.
My way of picking options is to see how many teachers I can piss off by not taking their subject!

For example :
I am taking history and not geography because my geography teacher basically begged me in year 8 to take it
I am not taking music because when a the Dance teacher asked me what options I was going to take before I could speak Miss Bucket said Music. (p.s. also, I absolutely hate the music departments bias-nous)

Other than that I'm taking Spanish, German, Triple Science and Resistant Materials!

I know what you're thinking, I beasted this post. However, unlucky for you I'm not posting again until NEXT Thursday. Please don't cry, if you do, though, please do it in a reservoir or something because then we'll have more water for me to waste in my shower in the morning !!

Cheerio for now, Cizzle says Bizzle
